Curriculum
The first two semesters concentrate the curricular units that lay the theoretical foundations in parallel computing, algorithms, simulation, architectures and HPC environments, which are the basis for advanced computing. In the second semester, we planned a project whose objective is to realise the proposed philosophy of promoting active student participation, interdisciplinarity and developing students’ cooperation and communication skills.
The third semester focuses on specialisation and vertical domains. This semester will have a more theoretical and specialised component with optional courses in complementary fields of advanced computing such as cybersecurity, workflow optimisation, high-performance hybrid computing, natural computing, complemented by options in other scientific fields such as fluid dynamics, molecular dynamics, analysis of large volumes of data in specific areas of knowledge.
