The master’s in advanced computing comes in the context of valorising the scientific and technological potential of the national commitment to advanced computing, namely the installation at the University of Minho of the Deucalion supercomputer, which is part of the European supercomputer network. The team behind this master’s program brings extensive hands-on experience from installing, operating, and utilising the Deucalion and former Bob supercomputers, fostering deep expertise to be shared and expanded. Additionally, the team actively contributes to the EUMaster4HPC initiative, shaping a standardised European HPC curriculum, and participates in cutting-edge international research projects through EuroHPC, collaborating with top supercomputing centres in the USA and Japan.
